What To Know Before Your Fence Installation

Overview of the Defender Fence Company Installation Process

STEP 1

Call or submit an online estimate request. Once your information is reviewed by one of our professional estimators you will receive a call confirming your on-site estimate appointment.

STEP 2

Let us know when you're ready to get started with your fencing project by submitting the agreement along with your down payment.

STEP 3

We'll contact you 3-5 business days prior to beginning construction. Day one will consist of removing any existing fence if necessary, and setting the new fence posts in concrete.

STEP 4

Day 2 - Posts are now set, your old fence is removed, and your new fence is ready for completion (this is typically done within a day or two depending on the size of your project). Completing installation includes hanging any gates if this applies to your project. Upon final completion, we'll conduct a final walk through with you to ensure your satisfaction, and any remaining balance will be due.

Homeowner Responsibilities

To ensure your fencing project goes smoothly, please review the following responsibilities before installation begins:

  • Permits & Regulations:
    Your city may or may not require a permit. Homeowners are responsible for obtaining any required city permits. Defender Fence Company can assist with this process upon request.

  • HOA Approval:
    If your property is part of a Homeowners Association (HOA), please secure the necessary approvals before work begins to avoid delays.

  • Utility Marking & Sprinkler Systems:
    Defender Fence Company will coordinate with 811 to mark underground utilities. Please mark your sprinkler lines, landscape lighting, or any other sensitive features on your property.

  • Neighbor Notification:
    Fence installation may involve some noise or temporary disruption. As a courtesy, we recommend notifying your neighbors ahead of time—especially if your new fence will connect to theirs.

  • Review All Terms & Conditions:
    Be sure to review your project’s terms and conditions, including payment schedules, warranties, and other important details, before installation starts.
